Baroque brilliance for strings and trumpet

The Bristol Ensemble returns to Norton Village Hall with a programme full of energy and colour, featuring one of Vivaldi’s much-loved Trumpet Concertos and Geminiani’s La Folia.

Vivaldi’s concerto shows off the bright, clear sound of the trumpet in music that’s lively and full of character, while Geminiani’s La Folia takes a simple tune and transforms it into a set of dramatic and playful variations.
